ESPN Radio Milwaukee morning host Bill Johnson had Lasik at Hale Vision on Wednesday March 8, 2006. Bill had IntraLasik, utilizing the Intralase to make a blade-free flap and CustomVue reshaping using the Visx Star S4 IR, Iris Registration system. We performed our first day of surgery with the new 30kHz Intralase today. The technology is amazing. This unit fires pulses at 30,000/sec to create the flap. The word is filtering onto the street that Visx has received verbal approval of CustomVue treatments for high myopia with astigmatism. Our new Iris Registration system seems to be functioning well. All of our first day post op patients were either 20/20 or 20/15. We’ll follow the results and keep the blog group informed.
